General FAQ:

Do you accept returns or exchanges?
  • For returns and exchanges on unwanted supply orders, please contact us within 15 days of receiving your items and ship back to us within 30 days. We will provide information on returning your products upon contact. Buyer pays return shipping for unwanted merchandise. We will issue your return or exchange upon receipt of merchandise in original condition.
  • If items received were incorrect, damaged or missing please contact us with a description of the problem and photos of any damaged items so we may issue a claim with the postal service and we can ship your new items to you.
  • We do not accept returns on custom made items including armor pieces, journals, cuts outs, and bridles. If there is an issue with your order that needs resolved please contact us directly so that we may remedy the issue accordingly.
How long will it take to get my items?
  • For supply items we ship out every 1-2 days for most products. Purchases over $35 qualify for free shipping and ship via USPS First Class 2-5 day mail for all packages weighing under a pound and USPS Priority 1-3 day mail for all packages over a pound. Upgraded/Expedited shipping options are available at customer expense.
  • For leather armor and goods, creation time varies by product. Custom armor sets will be quoted a creation time during the custom request process. For items like journals and bridles creation time is generally 1-3 weeks.
Do you have a brick and mortar store?
  • Some of our products are featured locally but, our main business operates primarily online. However, if you are in the Houston vicinity, we do offer local pick-up options and wholesale options for local consignment and boutiques. Contact us to arrange.
Do you do local trade shows or events?
  • We have done numerous shows in the past, the best way to find out about upcoming events is to check the shop announcements section or follow us on our facebook page.

Supplies FAQ:

Do you offer wholesale?
  • We do! For quantities up to 100ct you can purchase the items directly from our site discounting has already been applied. For larger quantities you may contact us directly. Bulk discounting is applied by quantity purchased for a given item and style (size and color). 
Do you take custom orders?
  • Yes! For custom manufacturing orders on colors and sizes we do not currently offer in stock please contact us directly for a quote. Minimum purchase for custom manufacturing is 1000 pieces of a given style (color/size/specs). 
Do you accept dropship orders?
  • We do! If you are placing a dropship order and need unbranded packaging please note it during your order or contact us directly.
How can I know when new items are available?
  • Check our shop announcement page, Facebook, Instagram, or Pinterest for all the latest news and releases. You also can reach us directly via our contact page.

Armory FAQ:

Do you take custom orders?
  • Yes! Please visit our custom armor request listing and submit the forms there for your armor design and measurements and we will be in touch with you for a quote.
Do you make regulation armor?
  • We do, any guild association manuals or specification requirements should be submitted at time of request. Please note Chair and Chisel LLC is not liable for any injury obtained while wearing our armor, it is advised that you only do so within a supervised association and while wearing all appropriate protective gear and padding with our armor sets.
Are you at RenFest?
  • We currently do not operate a booth at RenFest due to staffing/timing limitations, however we do produce much of the armor you may see on faire-goers and offer armor rentals during faire season. Contact for details.
